My son was born with Cerebral Palsy in 1971. In 1974 I became a member of our local group and joined the Ladies Committee.

Soon afterwards I was asked to be the group's home visitor and was asked to join the Executive Committee.

I provided this service for group members for over twenty years and in 1995 became the group’s chairperson

My name is Lynne Nield and I am the secretary of Rochdale & District Scope. I have been involved with the group for over twenty years as I have a son with cerebral palsy who is also a member of the group.

I was elected secretary over 10 years ago and my duties include mail shots to members regarding social events that are arranged for the members. I also attend the monthly meetings and write up the minutes.

I help to organise outings and the Christmas party and help with fund raising whenever I can

My name is Steve Ellis and I joined the Executive Committee of Rochdale and District Scope in 2013, having retired from the police service three years earlier.

My daughter, who has cerebral palsy, was born in 1976 and has been a member of Scope for longer than I care to remember.

I am grateful for the opportunity to be able to contribute in some way to the work of the group
